The TReNDS Center is hosting a virtual neuroimaging data analysis workshop on January 21st, 2025. In this workshop you'll be able to run various analyses on unique neuroimaging datasets via COINSTAC Vaults (CV). CVs are curated datasets readily available for analysis within COINSTAC, a graphical user interface based platform for performing federated analyses on large neuroimaging datasets. You will have access to thousands of human brain data samples along with assorted demographic and cognitive variables collected across various substance use and schizophrenia studies, including pre-processed SMRI data collected by Child Mind Institute via Healthy Brain Network study. In addition, you will be able to run functional network connectivity analyses on fMRI datasets. CVs are a growing collection of online curated datasets that may be used independently or in combinationwith private datasets for meta-analyses, replication studies and more.

The half-day hackathon will focus on standard neuroimaging analyses, including demonstrations and small breakout groups for individualized assistance. This is an exciting opportunity which could potentially lead to one or more research publications. The workshop will be fully virtual and best of all, free!

What to expect from the hackathon?

• Learn to use COINSTAC freesurfer, ICA, and VBM vaults
• Learn to connect one’s own data with the vault
• Work with modeling choices using schizophrenia, developmental, and/or substance use data sets
• Visualize results and perform additional postprocessing
• Collaborate with a team towards a scientific report or paper
